  12. INFORMATION ABOUT THIS DEMO

  14. This is a demo version of Control Panel. The demo version of CP differs
  15. from the commercial release in the following ways:

  17. * It is fully functional with the exception that CP will NOT make changes
  18. to the TBBS Userlog.bbs.
  19.  
  20. * Conversion utilities from other user management programs are not
  21. included.
  22.  
  23. * Technical Support and some other documents are not included.

  26. WHETHER YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM A PREVIOUS RELEASE OF CONTROL PANEL OR
  27. CONVERTING FROM ANOTHER USER MANAGEMENT PRODUCT YOU MUST FIRST PERFORM THE
  28. UPDATE/CONVERSION PROCEDURES LISTED IN THE CONVERT.DOC. PLEASE DO THIS
  29. BEFORE RUNNING OR INSTALLING CONTROL PANEL 2.3.

  32. PROCEDURES TO IMPORT TBBS USERLOG DATA INTO THE CONTROL PANEL SYSTEM. THIS
  33. MUST BE DONE BEFORE ALLOWING CALLERS TO ACCESS CONTROL PANEL.

  36. ideas. Your ideas and suggestions are VERY much needed to help us continue
  37. to develop this product. As you are working with this program please write
  38. down your ideas as you think of them and send us a note so that we can
  39. incorporate your suggestions into a future release.

  41. A program that tries to undertake the monumental task of managing most if
  42. not all of the daily functions related to subscription and user management
  43. becomes quite complex. After its initial design the program was totally
  44. re-coded because it did not meet our standards for speed and memory
  45. utilization. We realize in a major release of this size that there may be
  46. problems that have escaped our Alpha and Beta testers. We are counting on you
  47. to let is know where the program is not functioning. We will work to fix
  48. major problems as quickly as possible. If the problem will take some time to
  49. correct we will notify you. Before you receive any maintenance releases they
  50. will go through out standard Alpha and Beta test procedures to assure that
  51. the updates meet our standards before being released.

  53. CONVERT.DOC details the steps necessary to import TBBS userlog data into
  54. your Control Panel Databases. In addition you will find information about
  55. importing user information from other user management products into CP.

  57. The CP23.DOC is the manual for Control Panel.  Please take the time to read
  58. it thoroughly.  It contains all of the setup and configuration information
  59. for the program.  The manual also contains detailed explanations as to how
  60. the various modules and commands work.
  61.  
  62. The QWKSETUP.DOC is designed for those who are familiar with TBBS, TDBS and
  63. Control Panel. If you are new to any of the above then we suggest consulting
  64. the CP manual. The Quick Setup Document only covers the bare minimum needed
  65. to get Control Panel up and running. It does not cover the configuration and
  66. installation of all modules.

  68. The CP.FAQ is made up of Frequently Asked Questions related to Control Panel.
  69. We realize that there may be a few operational procedures or concepts that
  70. you may have a question about. If after consulting the manual you still do
  71. not have your question answered then consult the CP.FAQ. If you still do not
  72. find the answer to your question then please notify us.

  75. and technical support. It is important that you read this document as it
  76. also details the items and procedures that you need to follow so that we

  117. may return Control Panel (the software, documentation and any other
  118. materials) to zone one within thirty (30) days for a full refund of the
  119. purchase price (less a restocking or handling fee if applicable).
  120. Regardless of whether you purchased Control Panel electronically or via
  121. the mail you must provide a written, notarized statement that all copies
  122. of Control Panel in your possession have been destroyed before a refund can
  123. be issued. Before sending materials back for a refund please contact zone
  124. one at the address listed at the end of this document.

  127. Michael M. McInnis or zone one. This license agreement is governed by and
  128. interpreted according to the laws of the state of California and shall
  129. inure to the benefit of zone one and any successors, administrators,
  130. heirs and assigns. Any action or proceedings brought by either party
  131. against the other arising out of or related to this agreement shall be
  132. brought only in a STATE or FEDERAL court of competent jurisdiction
  133. located in Los Angeles County, California. The parties hereby consent
  134. to in person jurisdiction of said courts.
